Induction Stress Relieving Applications & Equipment
Why use induction heating for Stress Relieving? Material can develop microcracks due to heat treating. Induction stress relieving equipment can be used to accurately set the power to specifically relieve the part of the material that’s under stress and relax the area in order to alleviate cracks and minimize metal fatigue. 4140 steel and other high carbon-based materials would benefit from induction stress relieving.

Our systems verify that the part has reached the target temperature, using dual-color optical pyrometers. The induction power supply’s settings (power, temperature) are stored in our data logger and can be recalled by work order and downloaded as a .csv or, using our proprietary software, you can see the data graphically. Verified, repeatable, logged results, every time.
